This year I decided not to give presents, but donate small amounts of money to Kiva. All my family members now can determine whom to lend to. "Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world."
What's more important than to help the individuals in need.?
Ok, happy new year now!
edit: I was comparing Kiva with Oxfam America Unwrapped where $30 buys 50 plants or for $75 you can raise a crocodile.
